How
I Can Help You and How I Work
Creating archival safe, professional scrapbooks
that will last for years to come...
Whether you have shoeboxes filled with photos or a hard drive brimming with memories you want preserved, we can provide you with a professional scrapbook album that is archival safe and will delight your family for years.
Steps Involved in Creating Your Custom Scrapbook...
First, you'll purchase the scrapbook
package that's best for
you. During the purchase process, you'll digitally "sign"
a contract
and pay a 50 percent deposit to get started. If you have a specific
deadline to receive your completed scrapbook, you must contact
me first
to make sure I can meet that deadline.
Once I receive your order, I'll contact you via email or phone and
we'll
discuss what you want in your scrapbook. We'll discuss
what's going to be on each page and if we think we have the right number
of pages. We’ll also discuss any ideas you have for each page,
like color, titles or journaling.
Next you’ll start sending me the photos for your album. If
your photos are already printed or are on a CD, you will mail them to
me. If your photos are digital, you can either email them to me or upload
them to a photo sharing Web site like Shutterfly or Flicker, where I
can then download them. Click
here for instructions on how to mail or email your photos to me.
After I receive your photos, I’ll come up with the design,
the theme, and the colors I think will go best with the photos. However,
if you have any requests regarding the design, theme, or the color
scheme, I’ll listen to your input and try to incorporate your
ideas into your album. Once I design the layout of the album, I’ll
send photos of the layout to you for your approval.
How Many Photos Will Your Custom Scrapbook Contain?
The number of photos that will be on one page will really depend
upon the layout of the album. For example, if you’ve
sent me 100 photos from your trip to Italy, you can expect that each
page of your album will contain an average of 3-4 photos. Depending
on the photos, however, you could have as few as 1 photo on a page
and as many as 6 photos on a page.
If you don’t have any concrete ideas for color or theme, I will then create a theme. For your scrapbook of your trip to Italy, for example, I’ll come up with a theme and colors that relate to Italy.
How I'm Different From Other Scrapbookers
Scrapbooking is a lot like fashion; trends come in and out
quickly…I pride myself on being
up-to-date on the latest scrapbooking techniques. I keep up with all of the latest products
and the newest embellishments that are available and use them when
designing albums, guaranteeing that your pages will look fresh and
new.
In addition, if you see a particular technique or have an idea that you found in a scrapbooking magazine, you can send the particular page to me or just tell me the page number, as I probably already have the magazine.
In addition to custom scrapbooks, I also offer calendars, framed
layouts and mini-albums, which will give you a variety of ways to display
your photos.
Turnaround Time for Your Scrapbook
A 20 page scrapbook generally requires two to three weeks to complete after I receive your photos. You will receive photos of each page as it is completed, starting with the first two pages. Once you’ve received and approved the layout and the look of the first two pages, I will send you four pages at a time as they are completed.
Some clients, however, prefer to be surprised with their album. If you
would prefer to be surprised, please let me know and I will not send
you any photos of completed pages.
*Please note: If you have a tight deadline and need
the album completed in less than three weeks, please contact
me prior to ordering to
determine if I can meet your deadline.
